New footage exonerates LSU player in fatal accident
New updates have surfaced in the case involving Kyren Lacy, a former LSU standout wide receiver facing charges of negligent homicide. His attorney, Matthew Ory, revealed new information regarding the accident and stated that he had acquired an investigative report detailing Hall's death to support Lacy's innocence. During an interview with HTV, Ory mentioned that although witnesses saw Lacy overtaking four vehicles, data revealed that he was actually more than 70 yards behind Hall at the time of impact. Lacy was arrested in January for several charges related to the crash in Lafourche Parish and after posting bail, he was tragically found deceased in April in Houston. The Louisiana State Police shared a statement regarding their investigation, indicating that Lacy's reckless driving contributed to the incident. However, they emphasized that the presumption of innocence prevails until proven otherwise in court.
