N. 1-19 closed due to six-car collision
Earlier today, a major multi-vehicle accident occurred on Interstate 19, resulting in the closure of the northbound lanes near Pima Mine Rd. Emergency crews responded to the scene where up to six vehicles were involved and approximately 10 individuals were injured. Medical personnel attended to the patients, with two being taken to Banner University Medical Center – Main Campus and three to Banner University Medical Center – South Campus for further care. Fortunately, no severe injuries were reported, and authorities temporarily shut down I-19 Northbound to facilitate emergency operations. The Arizona Department of Public Safety is currently investigating the incident to determine its cause.
