Multiple vehicles collide on K-96 in Sedgwick County, causing injuries.
Three individuals sustained injuries in a collision on Sunday afternoon at the intersection of K-96 and 151st Street West, as reported by the Kansas Highway Patrol. The incident occurred at approximately 1:30 p.m. when a vehicle traveling south on 151st failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a pickup truck heading west on K-96. The impact led to the truck striking a motorcycle. The 89-year-old male driver of the car from Wichita and the 50-year-old female motorcycle rider from Lakin were transported to the hospital with suspected serious injuries that are not life-threatening. The truck driver suffered minor injuries, while a passenger in the truck was unharmed. The authorities are investigating the crash further.
