A bus accident left nearly 20 passengers injured when the vehicle overturned in the San Bernardino Mountains on Sunday night. The incident occurred on Highway 330 near mile marker 38, between Highland and Running Springs, at around 8:50 p.m. according to the San Bernardino County Fire Department. Emergency responders reported that out of the 36 individuals on board, 20 were hurt and received medical attention at nearby hospitals. Among those injured, three suffered severe wounds. Details regarding the cause of the crash are still unknown, with firefighters stating that only the bus was involved. The passengers sustained varying degrees of injuries, with some declining medical transport. As authorities work to determine the reason behind the accident, support from San Bernardino National Forest personnel and neighboring fire departments was provided. The road remained closed in both directions as investigations continued, prompting California Highway Patrol officers to suggest alternative routes like SR-18.
