Motorcyclist, 26, killed in accident on Maizeland
A tragic incident occurred in Colorado Springs today on Maizeland Road when a motorcyclist lost control of their vehicle. According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), at around 4:45 p.m., officers responded to the scene to find a 26-year-old woman who had succumbed to her injuries despite attempts to save her. The Major Crash Team is currently investigating the crash to determine causal factors, with speed and impairment ruled out by police. As of 8 p.m., Maizeland Road east of Radiant Drive has been reopened to traffic. However, drivers are advised to steer clear of the area, given the closures on Maizeland Road near North Academy Boulevard.
