Minneapolis utility pole struck by city-owned vehicle, 1 person hurt
Minneapolis police report that a male driver was treated for minor injuries after he collided a city-owned vehicle with a utility pole. The incident occurred at the corner of 1st and University Avenues northeast at approximately 2:10 p.m. on Friday. The driver was subsequently transported to Hennepin Healthcare. Following the collision, a power loss was noted in the vicinity, resulting in the closure of a portion of 1st Avenue for several hours. The cause of the collision, involving only one vehicle, is currently unknown.
