Mayor of Perryopolis accused in DUI hit-and-run incident

The mayor of Perryopolis, Charles Petrosky, is accused of crashing into another vehicle while intoxicated and then leaving the scene. The incident occurred at an intersection on Route 51 and Barneys Road. Witnesses reported that instead of exchanging insurance details, Petrosky drove away. However, the victim managed to capture pictures of his car and license plate, enabling police to locate him at his home. Responding officers found damage on his car and noted his confused state. It was determined that Petrosky, who is also responsible for the local police department, should be investigated by state police to avoid any conflict of interest. He has since been charged with hit-and-run and DUI. Residents of Perryopolis are disappointed in his actions and are questioning whether he should continue to hold office. Petrosky awaits his court date while his legal team prepares for his preliminary hearing.
