Man in Monett dies in truck accident
In Barry County, Missouri, an 81-year-old man from Monett tragically passed away in an accident on August 21, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The incident happened on private property along State Highway Z near Monett when a 2005 Ford F-250 rolled backwards and struck the man as he was standing behind it. The Barry County Coroner confirmed the pedestrian's death at the scene. Family members have been informed of his unfortunate passing. This marks the 80th fatality within MSHP Troop D for the year 2025.
