Man in critical condition following city bus accident, authorities report
A man in his 60s is in critical condition after being struck by a city bus in central Fresno on Sunday. The Fresno Police Department reported that the incident occurred around 12:15 p.m. on Blackstone Avenue, just north of Gettysburg Avenue. The victim, an adult male, suffered a severe right arm injury and police applied a tourniquet on the scene. Surveillance footage from the bus stop revealed that the man fell into the street as the bus was departing, leading to the bus running over his upper body. The man was not trying to board the bus at the time. Emergency services transported him to CRMC for medical treatment, where he remains in critical condition. The investigation is now being handled by CRU.
