Man in Canterbury sustains serious injuries in chainsaw mishap, official reports
A chainsaw accident in Canterbury resulted in a person being flown to Rhode Island Hospital due to a leg injury. Deputy Fire Chief Thomas O'Neill stated that emergency crews were alerted around 5 p.m. to a residence on Lisbon Road. Upon arrival, they determined the injury was severe, prompting the need for a LifeStar medical helicopter. With assistance from American Ambulance, the individual was stabilized and taken to a nearby middle school for transfer to the helicopter and subsequent transport to the hospital.
