Man from Hudson accused of brandishing gun in frustration over traffic caused by car accident

A man from Hudson is currently in custody without bail after allegedly brandishing a firearm out of frustration with traffic caused by a car accident. The incident occurred on Thursday evening following a serious crash involving a car and a UPS truck on Webster Street. Witnesses at a nearby auto body shop observed the collision and rushed to assist. They reported that the 38-year-old suspect, Eric Chadbourne, became agitated about the traffic situation and displayed a gun when approached by them. Despite attempts to reason with Chadbourne, he allegedly attempted to bypass the accident scene by driving over a lawn dangerously close to a retaining wall. Doorbell footage captured by News 9 exclusively shows Chadbourne's actions, including driving over the lawn, exiting the vehicle, and producing a weapon. Police were alerted, and upon investigation, they found Chadbourne further down the street. The Hudson police confirmed that Chadbourne expressed displeasure with the halted traffic and resorted to displaying a firearm. Charged with criminal threatening with a deadly weapon, Chadbourne remains under scrutiny by the authorities, who encourage individuals with relevant information to come forward.
