Man from Greenfield passes away after incident on Connecticut River

A Greenfield man passed away in an incident on the Connecticut River near the French King Bridge in Turners Falls. According to Northwestern District Attorney's Spokesperson Laurie Loisel, authorities received a call about a boat crash around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Upon arrival, they found a boat with its engine running near the shoreline with 54-year-old Norman Plausky of Greenfield found deceased inside. It is believed that he may have suffered a medical emergency prior to the crash. The Turners Falls Fire Department expressed gratitude to those who called for help and provided assistance. The incident is currently under investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
