
Man from Boynton Beach challenges 2023 fatal crash conviction

Subsequently, Spandau received a 120-day sentence in Palm Beach County Jail along with court costs. The appeal is currently being processed in the Fourth District Court of Appeal in West Palm Beach, Florida. The incident involved Spandau driving at high speed, crossing lanes, and ultimately colliding head-on with a Nissan Rogue. The collision resulted in the death of a passenger in the Nissan, Elizabeth Polo, and severe injuries to the driver, Daniel Polo. Spandau also sustained significant injuries in the crash.
