Man faces sentencing for deadly crash that claimed lives of mother and son

A man in Youngstown, Ohio, who admitted to causing a fatal drunk driving accident that resulted in the death of a mother and her son while injuring her other son, will receive his sentencing on Tuesday. Walter Bolt, 65, who pleaded guilty in July to charges including aggravated vehicular homicide and assault, is set to be sentenced at 9 a.m. that morning. The incident occurred in March in New Middletown, where Bolt was driving while intoxicated and collided with a vehicle driven by 44-year-old Angela Brown. The crash caused the death of Brown and her 15-year-old son, Jason Daff, and left her other son, Jayden Daff, critically injured. Bolt's vehicle had multiple open containers of alcohol, and he was found to have a blood alcohol content of .215. Prosecutors are seeking a prison sentence of 19-23 years, and as part of his guilty plea, Bolt will face a mandatory lifetime suspension of his driver's license.
