Man directing traffic sustains severe injuries in suspected hit-and-run crash
A man was sent to the hospital after an apparent hit-and-run incident in Erie County involving a traffic controller. According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the incident occurred on Saturday evening, November 8, near St. Boniface Church in Greene Township. Allegedly, a 92-year-old man from Erie hit a 54-year-old Waterford traffic controller as he was leaving the church parking lot, causing serious injuries. The elderly driver reportedly left the scene without checking on the injured man or reporting the incident, before eventually returning home. The injured man was then hospitalized at UPMC Hamot for his injuries.
