Man charged with obstruction in deadly Saline County crash

A man has been charged in connection with a deadly crash that occurred earlier this month in Saline County. Kayla Errebo, aged 32, appeared in court last week regarding the incident that took place on August 8 on K Highway 140 near Reese Road, east of Brookville, resulting in the death of Deanna Sommerfeld. Errebo was apprehended at a residence in Ellesworth following the crash. She has been officially charged. In relation to the case against Errebo, her grandfather, Dennis Katzenmeier, faced charges of obstructing apprehension or prosecution in Saline County District Court. Katzenmeier made his initial court appearance on Tuesday morning, and his next court date is set for Sept. 29.
