Man charged in Nelson County crash that killed 18-year-old woman
A man has been arrested in a fatal crash that happened in Nelson County last week.Kentucky State Police announced Tuesday that they have charged 26-year-old Jonathan Hood of Lawrenceburg with vehicular homicide, wanton endangerment, driving under the influence, and open alcohol container.KSP said troopers were called to the 800 block of KY-509 in the Coxs Creek community around 6 p.m. on April 22 about a two-vehicle crash. The crash killed 18-year-old McKinzi Raisor, of Bardstown.Police said Hood was driving a pickup truck when he crossed the center line. They said Hood then crashed into another pickup truck with a 17- and 18-year-old in it. Hood and the 17-year-old were both taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to police.Hood was ultimately released from the hospital into police custody.He is being held at the Nelson County Detention Center.KSP continues to investigate the crash.
