Lufkin survivor seeks investigation after car accident
In Lufkin, Texas, a survivor of a tragic car accident that claimed the lives of three individuals is seeking justice three years later. The accident, which took place on South First Street near Ralph and Kacoo's on Dec. 17, 2022, involved a Honda Accord rear-ended by a Ford Bronco following a lane change. The Honda driver, Tyler Christian Lewis, faced charges of intoxicated manslaughter, but the Bronco driver, Michael Allman, was not charged. The survivors' attorney alleges that Allman was speeding significantly after leaving a company Christmas party where alcohol was served. None of the passengers were wearing seatbelts during the crash, resulting in the fatalities of Anastasia Gray, Antownique Roberston, and Xzavien Grimble. The crash survivor, Radaysha Jackson, has urged Lufkin City Hall to reexamine the incident and called for a more thorough investigation by the local police. Jackson expressed her deep loss and the challenges faced over the past two years, emphasizing the need for accountability and proper investigation protocols in such serious cases. The survivor’s legal team believes that the initial police investigation was insufficient, pointing out that certain standard tests were not conducted at the scene. They aim to shed light on what occurred and stress the importance of a comprehensive probe into the fatal crash.
