Large crowd honors Santa Clara teenager who died in automobile accident
A large crowd gathered at Wilcox High School on Monday evening to pay tribute to 16-year-old Isaiah Mendoza, a beloved student and talented athlete tragically killed in a car accident. Mendoza was driving on Lawrence Expressway when his car collided with another vehicle and struck a pole. At a candlelight vigil held at the school, loved ones remembered Mendoza for his athletic achievements and kindness towards others. The community mourned the loss of a friend who made everyone feel valued. Wilcox High School provided grief counseling for students and staff, and the Santa Clara Unified School District expressed condolences and support for Mendoza's family.
