Judge denies request to dismiss murder charges in case of 4 Pepperdine students killed on PCH
During a recent court hearing, a judge decided not to dismiss murder charges against the driver involved in a tragic accident that resulted in the deaths of four Pepperdine University sorority sisters in Malibu. The driver, Fraser Bohm, is facing charges of murder and vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence for the crash that took place on Pacific Coast Highway two years ago. Bohm's attorney, Alan Jackson, had argued that the murder charges should be dropped, contending that high speed alone does not constitute implied malice, but the judge rejected this argument. The judge determined that there was sufficient evidence to proceed with a trial based on Bohm's excessive speed, lack of regard for human life, and familiarity with the dangerous stretch of road where the crash occurred.
