Joplin toddler dies in I-49 car accident
Tragically, a one-year-old girl from Joplin lost her life in a deadly collision on Interstate 49 on Saturday evening. The crash occurred near Goodman, where southbound traffic had come to a stop because of an animal on the road. The collision happened when a Honda Accord hit the back of a heavy-duty semi-trailer truck that was being towed. The one-year-old girl, who was a passenger in the Accord, was pronounced dead at a Neosho hospital. The 22-year-old driver of the car sustained minor injuries in the accident.
