Jay Cutler faces lawsuit from same DUI crash after already being sentenced to jail.

Jay Cutler is facing further legal issues related to a 2024 traffic accident, which led to a DUI charge and a jail sentence. A civil lawsuit was filed by Perry Lee, a Williamson County resident, who alleges that Cutler's negligent behavior caused a collision between their vehicles. Lee's attorneys, from Morgan & Morgan law firm, stated that their client, a veteran, sustained injuries in the crash and is seeking justice for the physical and mental suffering he has endured. Lee is seeking damages of at least $25,000 for injuries, medical expenses, lost wages, and other impacts from the accident. Cutler was involved in the incident after officers responded to a reported minor collision where Cutler showed signs of being under the influence of alcohol. He was subsequently charged, pleaded guilty to the DUI charge, and served a four-day jail sentence along with probation and other penalties. Cutler's Tennessee driver's license was also revoked for a year. Cutler, a former NFL quarterback who played for several teams, was married to Kristin Cavallari and has three children with her.
