Investigation underway into multiple injuries in fatal Highway 24 crash near Florissant
Highway 24 remains closed at 8:20 a.m. due to a fatal crash just east of Florissant. The Colorado State Patrol (CSP) reported two separate incidents: one involving four vehicles and the other a single vehicle. Although it is unclear which crash was fatal, CSP confirmed at least one person lost their life. Two individuals were taken to the hospital for injuries, with one requiring a flight for life response. The road is shut down in both directions, with traffic being redirected to Teller County Road 1. Delays are expected for travelers heading west or east.
