Investigation underway for deadly motorcycle accident in Bedford County
Authorities are currently investigating a deadly incident involving a motorcycle that occurred in Bedford County, Virginia. The Virginia State Police reported that the crash happened on Moneta Road at around 2:24 p.m. on September 19. A 2024 Indian Super Chief motorcycle was southbound on Moneta Road when it veered off the right side of the road and collided with a utility pole. The operator, identified as 60-year-old Frank Earnest West from Huddleston, Virginia, was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and tragically passed away on-site. Police have stated that their investigation into this incident is ongoing.
