Investigation underway for deadly Canaan motorcycle accident
A tragic incident occurred in Canaan, N.Y., resulting in the death of a motorcyclist following a collision with a car on State Route 22. New York State Police reported that the crash occurred on Sunday around 2:50 p.m. Preliminary findings indicated that a 2024 Porsche traveling south failed to yield the right of way while making a left turn, striking a northbound 2014 Harley-Davidson. The motorcyclist was ejected from the bike and was subsequently airlifted to Albany Medical Center, where they later passed away from their injuries. The driver of the Porsche sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Berkshire Medical Center. The identity of the victim is currently undisclosed, pending notification of next of kin. Authorities have stated that the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
