Investigation ongoing into fatal crash on KY 519 in Rowan County
Kentucky State Police are currently looking into a fatal accident that occurred on KY 519 in Rowan County on Tuesday morning. Initial findings suggest that Donnie Smith, aged 68, was driving a Buck Rainier south on KY 519 when he veered across the road, hitting multiple construction barrels before crashing head-on into a stationary construction truck. Smith was later pronounced dead at St. Claire Regional Medical Center by the Rowan County coroner. Luckily, the individual inside the parked construction truck was unharmed. The incident is currently being investigated further by KSP.
