Investigation ongoing for motorcycle accident near Phoenix's Deck Park Tunnel on I-10
A fatal crash took place on I-10 close to downtown Phoenix's Deck Park Tunnel early Monday morning. The incident occurred before the tunnel in the eastbound lanes at approximately 4:45 a.m. Video footage showed a motorcycle on the freeway shoulder near a traffic attenuator and cement median. The rider initially had critical injuries according to DPS, but was later reported deceased at the scene. Several lanes were closed for the crash investigation, causing traffic delays in the area. The investigation is still ongoing. This marks the second deadly crash on I-10 in Phoenix within a span of around nine hours, with another incident near 75th Avenue resulting in the tragic death of a child on Sunday night being looked into by DPS.
