Investigation launched into deadly collision in northeast Albuquerque
Albuquerque police are looking into a hit-and-run incident that occurred late on Monday night. Authorities were called to the scene near Menaul Boulevard and San Pedro Drive in northeast Albuquerque after a black pickup truck collided with a motorcycle and then drove off. The motorcycle driver and passenger were both injured and taken to the hospital, but sadly, the passenger passed away from their injuries. According to investigators, the truck tried to change lanes on eastbound Menaul Blvd., hitting the motorcycle and its occupants before fleeing the scene. The police are treating this as a case for the fatal crash unit.
