Investigation into Fatal Collision in Lincoln
Police in Lincoln are looking into a fatal crash involving a 75-year-old man at the intersection of 70th and L streets. The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday when a Nissan SUV traveling north on 70th Street attempted a left turn onto L Street and collided with a Ford SUV. Witnesses reported that the Ford SUV was speeding and maneuvering erratically prior to the accident. The elderly driver of the Nissan was taken to the hospital but unfortunately passed away, while his 74-year-old passenger was also hospitalized for injuries. The 24-year-old driver of the Ford SUV sustained minor injuries. It remains unclear if any charges or citations will be issued as investigations continue.
