Investigation into deadly accident in Alleghany County by Virginia State Police
Authorities are investigating a fatal two-vehicle collision that occurred on Valley Ridge Road in Alleghany County. A 72-year-old woman, Angela Sizemore Anderson, tragically lost her life in the crash. The collision involved a Kia Sportage and a Dodge Dart when the Kia crossed the centerline and struck the Dodge head-on. Angela, who was driving the Dodge, was wearing a seat belt but sadly did not survive her injuries. Charges are pending against the driver of the Kia, who was also hospitalized following the incident.
