Injury reported in three-car collision on I-291 in Springfield
A collision on Interstate 291 in Springfield on Tuesday morning resulted in traffic congestion. The Massachusetts State Police reported to 22News that three cars were involved in a crash at 7:50 a.m., with one vehicle rolling over just beyond the St. James Avenue exit at mile marker 2.2. The left lane was shut down temporarily but has since been reopened. A person was transported to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. The reason for the crash has not been disclosed as of now.
