Injury reported in collision between semi-trucks at 75th Ave and Van Buren St
Two individuals were hospitalized following a series of collisions in the West Valley early Monday morning. According to Arizona Department of Public Safety officials, a hit-and-run crash occurred on the highway followed by another collision at a nearby intersection. A video from the location near 75th Avenue and Van Buren Street displayed a passenger car severely damaged after colliding with two semi-trucks. Phoenix Police Department confirmed that the vehicle caught on fire post-crash. The driver of the car, a man, sustained serious injuries and was taken to a hospital, while one of the truck drivers, also a man, was hospitalized as a precautionary measure. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the initial hit-and-run on the freeway. An investigation is underway, and further details on this ongoing situation are being pursued.
