Immigration arrests follow fatal crash on Florida Turnpike.

Authorities across the country have reported multiple arrests of individuals who are in the country illegally and stand accused of causing fatal accidents involving drivers, pedestrians, and even a teenager on a bicycle. Tricia McLaughlin, Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs at the Department of Homeland Security, expressed concern about the frequency of these incidents, emphasizing that they are preventable because these individuals should not have been in the country in the first place. These cases include a 31-year-old in Louisiana accused of striking a teenager on a bicycle, a 31-year-old in Maine who hit a pedestrian, and another individual from Angola who was involved in a fatal crash in Maine. In addition, an illegal immigrant from India named Harjinder Singh is accused of causing a deadly crash in Florida despite limited English proficiency. These incidents highlight the ongoing crackdown on migrant crime under the current administration.
