Identity of 27-year-old man killed in head-on crash disclosed | Police probe
Authorities have identified the individual who tragically lost his life in a three-vehicle crash on Wednesday night in York County. The collision, which occurred on Lewisberry Road in Newberry Township, involved a Volkswagen Jetta driven by William Cowell, aged 27, of Etters. The initial findings suggest that Cowell was attempting to overtake another vehicle when his car collided with a Nissan Altima driven by a 25-year-old female from Newberry Township. Cowell was declared deceased at the accident site, while the female driver sustained serious injuries and was in critical condition as of Thursday evening. Fortunately, the occupants of the third vehicle involved were unharmed. Newberry Township Police are actively investigating the incident and are not disclosing further details at this time.
