Identified: High school students killed in tragic Fayetteville crash; district responds
Three students from E.E. Smith High School in Fayetteville were among the tragic casualties in a recent single-vehicle accident on Rosehill Road. Cumberland County Schools officials confirmed the students' identities and announced that grief support will be available on-campus for those affected by the incident. Following inquiries by CBS 17, officials disclosed that four individuals were involved in the crash, which took place on Wednesday night. One of the victims was airlifted to UNC Hospital Chapel Hill and remains in critical condition. Authorities have not yet revealed the names of those involved in the accident.
