Identified: DUI suspect in fatal crash that killed schoolboy
A man, identified as 59-year-old Bradley Gene Funk from Orange County, has been accused of being involved in a tragic hit-and-run incident that resulted in the death of a 13-year-old boy on his way to school in Dana Point. The incident took place near Doheny State Beach, where the victim was hit while standing on a traffic island with his brother. The suspect allegedly fled the scene but was apprehended several miles away. The authorities found damage on the suspect's vehicle and subsequently arrested him on suspicion of murder, citing previous records of driving under the influence and hit-and-run offenses. The victim was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital, and there is no update on the condition of his brother.
