Identification of two individuals who died in Gilford collision.
A tragic accident in the Lakes Region resulted in the loss of two lives, a 20-year-old and a 63-year-old, and left another individual injured. The collision occurred on the Route 3/11 Bypass in Gilford Friday afternoon when a vehicle crossed the double solid line, causing a head-on crash involving three vehicles. Authorities are unsure why the vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic. The deceased victims were identified as Grady Shoemaker, 20, of Laconia, and Renee Privitera, 63, of Belmont. One person sustained minor injuries and another escaped unharmed. The road closure between Gilford Avenue and Lakeshore Road was lifted around 7:40 p.m. Eyewitnesses are urged to contact Gilford police at 603-527-4737 if they have any information about the incident.
