Identification of motorcycle rider in deadly accident

The Mesa County Coroner's Office in Grand Junction, Colorado has identified the motorcyclist involved in the fatal collision on August 20. Edward Chesnik, a 38-year-old resident of Grand Junction, was riding the motorcycle when the accident happened near 29 1/2 Road and B 1/2 Road. Unfortunately, Chesnik was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and suffered fatal injuries. The Grand Junction Police Department is currently investigating the incident, revealing that the collision occurred when a truck turning east onto Four Corners Drive struck Chesnik, who was heading northbound on 29 Road.
