Friday evening, authorities revealed the identities of the six individuals who tragically passed away in what has been referred to as a "dairy accident" in Weld County on Wednesday. This incident occurred during a confined space rescue operation at Prospect Valley Dairy on County Road 18, where six people lost their lives. The victims, aged between 17 and 50, were recovered by Southeast Weld Fire District crews following a rescue attempt on Wednesday evening. Although autopsies have been conducted, the exact cause and circumstances of their deaths are pending further testing. Among the victims was Oscar Espinoza Leos, a student at Highland High School, as confirmed by the Weld RE-9 School District. The district expressed deep sorrow over the loss and is offering counseling and support services to students and staff impacted by the tragedy.
