Honey Boo Boo Recovering After Car Accident, Mama June Updates

Reality television star Alana Thompson, popularly known as Honey Boo Boo, was involved in a car accident recently, as shared by her mother on social media. Mama June, or June Shannon, posted a video on Instagram confirming that her daughter is recuperating at home after being involved in a collision on the road. The other vehicle hit the driver's side of Thompson's car, but thankfully the incident wasn't as serious as it could have been, according to Shannon. Thompson was initially taken to a nearby hospital due to back pain and headaches, but is now recovering at home. Shannon revealed that Thompson was on her way to a hair appointment when the accident occurred, and was supposed to begin nursing school clinicals the following day. Thompson started her schooling at Regis University in Colorado in May 2025. Shannon shared that while Thompson is a bit banged up, she is overall okay following her "first car wreck." Honey Boo Boo first gained fame as a child pageant contestant on TLC's "Toddlers & Tiaras," then starred in her own show, "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo," from 2012 to 2014. Shannon later starred in "Mama June: From Not to Hot," which detailed her weight loss journey. The current spinoff on TLC is titled "Mama June: Family Crisis" and showcases the entire family's journey.
