A serious multi-vehicle collision led to the closure of a part of Northwest Highway 287 in North Fort Worth, resulting in one man sustaining critical injuries, as per the Fort Worth police. The incident took place on the northbound lanes of NW Highway 287 close to Blue Mound Road around 2 a.m. on Friday. After colliding with a tow truck, a man was thrown from his van and is presently in critical condition at a local hospital. The tow truck driver was unharmed and did not require hospitalization. NW 287 had to be shut down for a few hours for the crash investigation and cleanup, including fixing a damaged highway barrier.
