Green Street in Champaign closed after two-car collision; no injuries disclosed
Part of Green Street in Champaign was closed on Friday morning due to a collision between a Pontiac sedan and a Lexus SUV at the intersection of Green and Randolph Street. There were no reported injuries, and the cause of the crash is still unknown. Both drivers provided conflicting reports of the incident. Despite traffic on Randolph Street being able to pass, Green Street was closed between the CVS entrance and State Street. Tow trucks have cleared the area, and the street is now open again between Randolph and State Streets. Cleanup crews are currently removing remaining debris from the scene.
