Rock star Gene Simmons from the band KISS was in a car accident in Malibu on Tuesday, according to his wife Shannon Tweed. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department reported that a black Lincoln Navigator hit a parked car on Pacific Coast Highway, and the driver, who was not named but was described as an adult male, may have had a medical emergency before the crash. The driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Although the sheriff's department did not confirm that Simmons was the driver, Tweed stated that he was involved in the accident. Simmons, who is 76 years old, apparently told authorities that he passed out or fainted and hit the parked car after crossing multiple lanes of traffic. Tweed said he is recovering at home and mentioned that Simmons left a voicemail message saying he is doing fine.
