
Footage of timber spilled onto road following truck accident on NJ Turnpike ramp
A truck carrying lumber flipped over on I-287 near the NJ Turnpike entrance ramp in Edison on Friday morning. The incident occurred at around 10:30 a.m. near Exit 10, affecting traffic heading towards the turnpike. The southbound lanes of I-287 experienced significant delays stretching back more than a mile. Chopper 2 flew over the area, capturing images of lumber scattered across the road and a heap of wood on a grassy median. Traffic was moving slowly with vehicles able to pass on both sides. By noon, all southbound lanes on I-287 were shut down for clean-up. The cause of the accident and any injuries remain unknown. Stay tuned for further updates on the situation.
