A collision in Jack County tragically resulted in the loss of five lives on Sunday. Occurring on Highway 380, just west of Jacksboro, the accident involved a Honda Accord and a Honda CR-V. Initial reports indicate that the Accord, attempting to pass in a no-passing zone, collided with the CR-V. The aftermath saw the Accord overturned on the south side of the road, while the CR-V spun and came to rest nearby. Sadly, all three individuals in the Accord lost their lives. The identities of these victims have not been disclosed. The driver of the CR-V and a young child were taken to Fort Worth hospitals for treatment. Among those who lost their lives were Jonathan Andres Contreras, 29, of Bryson, and a one-year-old child. The Texas DPS is actively investigating the incident.
