FHP Trooper hurt in collision
Update: The Florida Highway Patrol has provided additional details regarding the crash involving a state trooper that occurred on Monday morning. The incident, which occurred just prior to 7:00 a.m., involved the trooper attempting to intercept a speeding vehicle, leading to a collision with a small commercial truck making a left turn. Thanks to the assistance of two women, the trooper was safely removed from his vehicle and transported to the hospital with severe injuries. The trooper sustained a broken foot and underwent surgery later in the day. Fortunately, the other driver involved was unharmed. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
