Fatality reported in Highway 132 collision, local authorities confirm
A tragic incident occurred on Monday afternoon when a Modesto resident lost their life in a crash on Highway 132 in eastern Stanislaus County. According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident took place near Rushing Road shortly after 4 p.m. The responding officers discovered a pickup truck that had overturned on the north shoulder, with the driver being ejected from the vehicle. Sadly, the driver, a 28-year-old individual from Modesto, was not wearing a seatbelt and passed away at the scene. Authorities are still investigating the circumstances leading to the crash.
