Fatality in Motorbike Crash in Yellowstone County
A tragic incident occurred in Shepherd on Sunday, September 14, 2025, resulting in a fatality when a vehicle collided with a motorcycle. The crash took place around 3:15 p.m. on U.S. Highway 312 near Shining Mountain Drive as reported by the Montana Highway Patrol. Initial findings suggest that the vehicle was tailgating the motorcycle when the collision took place. Both vehicles were heading eastbound, and when the motorcyclist slowed down, the car was unable to stop in time, rear-ending the motorcycle. Tragically, the motorcyclist lost their life at the scene, while the driver of the car sustained minor injuries and was taken to a hospital.
