Fatal wrong-way crash on I-95, FHP reports
Three individuals have lost their lives and six others have been injured in a tragic accident caused by a driver going the wrong way on I-95 in Brevard County. The Florida Highway Patrol reported that the collision occurred early Sunday morning around 3:50 a.m. near Wickham Road in Melbourne. The driver of a 2020 Toyota Corolla, a 34-year-old woman from Cocoa, was heading south in the northbound lanes and collided with a 2014 Chevrolet Impala driven by a 34-year-old man from Holly Hill. The impact led to a chain reaction involving six other vehicles. Sadly, both drivers and a 46-year-old woman passenger in the Impala passed away at the scene as they were not wearing seat belts.
