Fatal Single-Vehicle Accident in Chesapeake
Virginia State Police are currently investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash in Chesapeake that occurred early Sunday morning. The crash, involving a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Xavier Trevon Kea of Suffolk, occurred between Route 58 and I-664 at 4:56 a.m. The vehicle veered off the road, overturned, and struck two trees, resulting in Kea being partially ejected from the car. Despite efforts by Chesapeake Fire & Emergency Services to administer CPR, Kea was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
